Gaming on phpak should always be fun — a form of entertainment, not a way to make money or escape problems. We take responsible gaming seriously, and we've built real tools into the phpak platform to help every Filipino player stay in control. Whether you're in Manila, Cebu, Davao, or anywhere in the Philippines, phpak is here to support you.
What Is Responsible Gaming?
Responsible gaming means playing within your means, keeping it fun, and knowing when to stop. At phpak, we believe that every player deserves a safe and enjoyable experience — and that means giving you the tools and information to make smart decisions about your gaming habits.
Problem gambling is a real concern in the Philippines and around the world. It can affect anyone — regardless of age, income, or background. The good news is that with the right support and the right tools, it is manageable. phpak is committed to being part of the solution, not the problem.
Our responsible gaming programme is aligned with PAGCOR's player protection guidelines and covers everything from age verification and deposit limits to self-exclusion and access to support resources. We take these obligations seriously — not just because the rules require it, but because it is the right thing to do for our players and their families.
Healthy Gaming Habits
The 21+ Age Requirement
Philippine law is clear — online gaming is for adults only
Every phpak account goes through age verification at registration. You must confirm that you are 21 years of age or older. phpak may request government-issued ID — such as a Philippine passport, UMID, or LTO driver's licence — to verify your age at any point during your account lifecycle.
Any phpak account found to be registered by a person under 21 years of age will be immediately suspended. All funds in the account will be forfeited and the matter may be referred to the relevant Philippine authorities, including PAGCOR, as required by law.
If you have minors at home in Manila, Cebu, Davao, or anywhere in the Philippines, please use parental control software to prevent underage access to phpak and other online gaming platforms. Talk openly with your children about the risks of gambling and why the 21+ rule exists to protect them.
Under Philippine gaming regulations and PAGCOR guidelines, the minimum age for casino-style gambling — including online gaming platforms — is 21 years old. This is stricter than the general age of majority (18) in the Philippines, and it exists specifically to protect young adults from the risks of problem gambling during a critical period of their development.
phpak fully supports this regulation and enforces it without exception. If you are under 21, please do not attempt to register on phpak. If you know someone under 21 who is accessing online gaming platforms, please report it to phpak support immediately.
phpak's Player Protection Tools
phpak has built a full suite of responsible gaming tools directly into the platform. These are not hidden away in a settings menu — they are front and centre, because we want every Filipino player to use them. Here is what is available to you right now inside your phpak account.
All limit changes that reduce your spending take effect immediately. Increases to limits require a mandatory cooling-off period before they come into force — this is intentional, to give you time to reconsider. Self-exclusion is always immediate and cannot be reversed during the exclusion period.
Set a daily, weekly, or monthly cap on how much PHP you can deposit into your phpak account. Once the limit is reached, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets. Reductions take effect immediately; increases require a 7-day cooling-off period.
Set a maximum amount in PHP that you are willing to lose over a daily, weekly, or monthly period. When your loss limit is reached, phpak will automatically prevent further wagering until the period resets. A powerful tool for keeping your gaming within budget.
Set a maximum session duration — from 30 minutes to several hours. When your session time is up, phpak will display a reminder and, if you choose, automatically log you out. Keeping sessions short is one of the most effective ways to maintain healthy gaming habits.
Need a short break from phpak? A cool-off period temporarily suspends your account for a period of your choosing — from 24 hours up to 6 weeks. During a cool-off, you cannot log in, deposit, or place bets. Your account and balance are preserved for when you return.
Self-exclusion is phpak's most powerful responsible gaming tool. It permanently closes your phpak account for a minimum period of 6 months, up to 5 years or permanently. During self-exclusion, you cannot register a new account. This tool is for players who feel they need a serious break.
phpak can send you periodic pop-up reminders showing how long you have been playing and how much you have wagered in the current session. These reality check alerts help you stay aware of your gaming activity in real time, so you can make informed decisions about whether to continue.
How to Self-Exclude on phpak
Four simple steps to activate self-exclusion — it takes less than two minutes
Sign in to your phpak account using your registered email and password. If you have forgotten your password, use the account recovery option on the login page.
Click on your profile icon in the top right corner of the phpak platform and select "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu.
Navigate to the "Responsible Gaming" tab within your account settings. You will find all of phpak's player protection tools listed here, including the self-exclusion option.
Select your preferred exclusion period, read the confirmation notice, and confirm your request. Self-exclusion takes effect immediately. You will receive a confirmation email from phpak.
Signs of Problem Gambling
Problem gambling can develop gradually — it does not always look like what you see in movies. Many Filipino players who develop a gambling problem are high-functioning individuals who appear fine on the outside. Knowing the warning signs is the first step to getting help.
Ask yourself honestly: do any of the following sound familiar? If you answer yes to three or more of these questions, phpak strongly encourages you to use our self-exclusion tool and reach out to a support organisation.
Do you find yourself spending more money on gaming than you originally planned, even after telling yourself you would stop?
Have you ever borrowed money, sold belongings, or used bill money to fund your gaming on phpak or any other platform?
Do you feel restless, irritable, or anxious when you try to cut down or stop gaming?
Have you lied to family members, friends, or colleagues about how much time or money you spend on gaming?
Do you find yourself chasing losses — continuing to play in an attempt to win back money you have already lost?
Has gaming started to affect your work, studies, relationships, or mental health in a negative way?
Getting Help & Support
You are not alone. Problem gambling affects thousands of Filipino families, and there is no shame in asking for help. phpak encourages any player who is struggling to reach out — to us, to a trusted person in their life, or to a professional support organisation.
PAGCOR, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, operates responsible gaming programmes and maintains resources for players who need support. phpak's operations are aligned with PAGCOR's player protection framework, and we actively direct players to these resources when needed.
PAGCOR Responsible Gaming
PAGCOR operates the national responsible gaming framework for the Philippines. Players can access PAGCOR's responsible gaming resources and self-exclusion registry through PAGCOR's official government channels. phpak cooperates fully with PAGCOR's player protection programmes.
National Center for Mental Health (NCMH)
The NCMH in Mandaluyong City provides mental health services including support for behavioural addictions. Their crisis hotline is available to Filipinos nationwide. Contact details are available through the Department of Health Philippines website.
Gamblers Anonymous Philippines
Gamblers Anonymous has active chapters in Metro Manila and other major Philippine cities including Cebu and Davao. Their peer support meetings are free, confidential, and open to anyone who believes they may have a gambling problem. No referral is needed.

phpak's support team is available around the clock via live chat on the platform. If you need to activate a limit, request a cool-off, or self-exclude, our team will help you immediately — no judgment, no questions asked beyond what is needed to process your request.
phpak's Core Commitments
Six pillars of responsible gaming that guide everything we do at phpak
phpak verifies the identity and age of every player before they can deposit or play. We use government-issued Philippine ID documents and, where necessary, facial verification to ensure that only eligible adults — 21 and above — can access the platform.
phpak's platform monitors player behaviour for signs of problem gambling — such as sudden increases in deposit frequency, extended session times, or repeated loss-chasing patterns. When these signals are detected, phpak may reach out proactively to check in with the player.
phpak provides clear, honest information about how games work — including the house edge, return-to-player (RTP) rates, and the random nature of outcomes. We want every Filipino player to understand that gaming outcomes are based on chance, not skill or strategy.
phpak does not send promotional messages to players who have activated responsible gaming limits, are in a cool-off period, or have self-excluded. We also do not use high-pressure tactics or misleading bonus terms designed to encourage excessive play.
All games on phpak use certified random number generators (RNGs) to ensure fair outcomes. phpak's platform is secured with SSL/TLS encryption and undergoes regular security audits. Your funds and personal data are protected at all times in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
phpak regularly reviews and updates its responsible gaming programme to reflect the latest research, regulatory guidance from PAGCOR, and feedback from players. We are committed to making phpak a safer platform every year — for every Filipino player and their family.
